The William Way LGBT Community Center is thrilled to present our 20th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, on view beginning November 5 through December 11, 2025. The exhibit is the Center’s largest exhibition of the year, featuring the work of 46 emerging and established LGBTQ+ artists. This year’s exhibition is particularly special as it marks the 20th anniversary of the Philadelphia region’s longest-running annual LGBTQ+ art exhibition and serves as a kick-off to the Center’s approaching 50th Anniversary in 2026.

After receiving over 100 submissions, WWCC has selected a total of 46 Philadelphia-area LGBTQ+ artists. This year, the Center is offering $1,200 in awards, and the top three prizes include a spot in a group exhibition in 2026, offering continued opportunities for recognition and engagement.

Works featured in the Juried Art Exhibition are displayed in the Center’s expansive first-floor lobby and include a wide variety of styles, mediums, and subject matter, many of which are available for purchase. Profits made from the exhibit support both local LGBTQ+ artists and the Center’s Art and Culture programs, allowing visitors to invest in the community while expanding their own collections

About our Juror: Stamatina Gregory
Stamatina Gregory is Head Curator and Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, where they work to advance discourse on queer and trans art and artists through exhibitions, programs, a fellowship program, and acquisitions. Since joining the Museum in 2020, Gregory has organized a yearlong performance series (Remote Intimacies, 2020-2021) and initiated the Interventions initiative, which invites artists and cultural producers to generate work in dialogue with the Museum's collection of over 25,000 objects: resulting exhibitions include Coyote Park: I Love You Like Mirrors Do (2022) and andrea geyer: a promise of lightning (2024). They have organized exhibitions for institutions including the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania, the ICA LA, the 55th Venice Biennale, and the Cooper Union, where they also served as the Associate Dean of the School of Art (2013-2017). They have taught art history, critical theory, writing, and curatorial practice at the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Parsons/The New School, the School of Visual Arts, Purchase College, and Sotheby's Institute.

The art exhibitions presented by the William Way LGBT Community Center throughout 2020-2022 were never intended to be viewed exclusively in an online format. However, with the closing of our physical building due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all art exhibitions scheduled for 2020-22 will be presented as online exhibitions.

Although never the same as experiencing artworks in the Community Center’s gallery, online art exhibitions provide a safe viewing alternative, promote the artist’s creativity, and provide an opportunity for interested viewers to purchase artworks.

Prices for works that are available for sale are listed within the captions for each artwork. 65% of each sale will go to the artist and 35% will go to the Community Center to support our arts & culture programs. If you would like to make a purchase please email John Anderies, who will make arrangements to take your credit card information over the phone and make artwork delivery arrangements.

Thank you so much for your continued support and patronage of Philadelphia’s LGBTQ+ artists and the Community Center’s arts & culture programs.
