Empowerment Programs Are Moving January 2026

As we prepare to close our longtime home at 1315 Spruce Street on December 18, 2025, we remain fully committed to serving our community. This hub will be updated regularly with locations, schedules, and program updates throughout the transition.

Empowerment Programs Continue at St. Luke & The Epiphany

Beginning January 5, 2026, all Empowerment Programs — including the Elder Initiative, Peer Counseling, and Trans Programs — will operate out of: The Church of St. Luke & The Epiphany, (330 S. 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107)

St. Luke’s has a long, affirming history with Philadelphia’s LGBTQ+ community, with approximately 70% of its congregation identifying as LGBTQ+. Its proximity to the Center and its shared mission make it an ideal temporary home for our programs.

  • The following Empowerment Programs will transition to our new temporary home at St. Luke & The Epiphany beginning January 2026:

    • Elder Initiative

    • Monday Night Gatherings

    • Mornings Out

    • Our’s Truly: Trans Programming

    • Peer Counseling

    • Women’s Wednesday Programs

  • John J. Wilcox, Jr. Archives
The Archives is currently closed to researchers and visitors as we prepare for its future home and expanded accessibility.

    John J. Wilcox, Jr. Library
The Library remains open for browsing and returns through December 18, but is no longer checking out materials.

  • We are hoping that Art Exhibitions will continue in a new space in 2026, with some exhibitions held at other galleries across the city.

    Current Highlight:
Dead Dykes & Some Gay Men
    Exhibition by Arleen Olshan

January–February 2026 at iMPeRFeCT Gallery (Germantown)

While the building may be closing, our commitment to the community remains unwavering.
