From Philadelphia Area Artists
For Virtual Art Exhibition on
HIV and AIDS in Philadelphia
William Way LGBT Community Center
The exhibition will be virtual only and will debut in September 2021. We welcome submissions from artists presently or formerly working in the Philadelphia area, including those living with HIV or those whose work engages with or is influenced by HIV/AIDS. We also welcome submissions from collectors who have works by Philadelphia-area artists who died due to AIDS or AIDS-related complications. We are particularly interested in receiving submissions from women artists, BIPOC artists, and trans and GNC artists. All forms of visual art are eligible including collage, drawing, painting, photography, prints, multimedia, sculpture, and video.
Please submit the following as a PDF:
Name, pronouns, mailing address, phone number, email address
Artist website, social media handle (both optional)
Short statement (100 words) about how your artwork relates to HIV/AIDS
High resolution image of one artwork
Caption for the work to include: title, date, medium, dimensions (vertical x horizontal), price (if for sale) or NFS (if not for sale)
Submission deadline: June 30, 2021
