American Sign Language 101

Expose yourself to a different style of communication and learn the basics of ASL. This will be an introductory class in ASL, used by the Deaf community across the US. You will learn the alphabet, beginners' signs, and be conversing in basic ASL sentences by the end of the camp. No previous knowledge necessary. Camp dates: Tuesdays, Sep 19, 26, Oct 3, 10, 17, 34, 31, Nov 7, from 6:30-8:30 pm. 8 sessions for $105 members/$120 non-members

Instructor Michael Flynn has been teaching at William Way and other places since the 1980s and has been one of the main interpreters at Dignity/Philadelphia and Dignity/USA for over 30 years, interpreting for LGBT+ organizations and rallies over the years.

Held in the Cyber Center, an accessible room.
