Philly LGBTQ History Group: : “Visiting Lou: Charting Contemporary Narratives in a Queer, Trans Archive”

This meeting features artists Ellis Martin & Zach Ozma, who are currently working with the diaries of Louis Graydon Sullivan (1951-1991). A gender revolutionary, Lou was the first publicly gay trans man to attempt to medically transition in the 1980s. Lou carefully journaled his experiences- queer, trans, romantic, lascivious, challenging, poetic, medical, political)- from age 11 until his death from AIDS complications at age 39.
