Trans|Post is an open-call postcard exhibition featuring the work of people who identify as transgender, nonconforming, gender variant, intersex or gender gifted. Now in its 4th year, Trans | Post has received submissions from across the country and is an exhibition comprised completely of work made by community members.

Image Credit: A piece from 2013’s Trans | Post special gallery exhibit, by Pascal Emmer. “The mantis shrimp is a magical creature. Its eyes have 16 different visual receptors. Human eyes have only 3. The shrimp can see a spectrum of color beyond what humans can immediately perceive. This animal has a powerful punch, which has been known to break the glass cage of aquariums. We take inspiration from this colorful creature to imagine possibilities for a world with more prisms, not prisons.”
